AGU Internships and Student Opportunities
AGU has internships in a variety of departments and roles throughout the year. Check our listing of open positions for more information.
This 10-week summer program places science, engineering, and mathematics students in media organizations nationwide. Fellows use their academic training as they research, write, and report today’s headlines, sharpening their abilities to communicate complex scientific issues to the public.
This Fellowship program enables more effective use of scientific knowledge in government and provides a unique experience to scientists seeking careers involving public use of technical information.
Graduate students should also investigate National Science Foundation programs to support their education and research, in particular, the Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). GRFP is NSF’s premier opportunity for graduate students, and some of the program’s opportunities include the Graduate Research Internship Program, Graduate Research Opportunities Worldwide, and the East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes for U.S. Graduate Students.
