Science advisors use knowledge of natural sciences to protect the environment. Some work as consultants, where they assist organizations in complying with environmental regulations, which minimize health hazards to people and the environment. These scientists will analyze measurements and observations of air, food, water, and soil, to advise organizations on how to clean and preserve the environment. These workers typically will also write risk assessments or technical proposals and give presentations about their findings. Source
